2008 Bienvenues Batard Montrachet

There are just 600 bottles of the sublime 2008 Bienvenue-Batard-Montrachet – one of the finest wines I have encountered from this domaine. It is blessed with an exquisite bouquet that is brilliantly defined with subtle scents of hazelnut, apple blossom, cold limestone and orange essence. The palate does not disappoint, building on the aromatic promise with intense and harmonious citrus fruit, stupendous minerality and a long and tender, shaved ginger-tinged finish. This is a fantastic Bienvenue that should be welcomed into your cellar if not there already. Drink 2015-2025+.
