Here's an exciting new addition to the Poderi Luigi Einaudi portfolio that takes us to the very heart of Castiglione Falletto, where some of the world's best wines are made. The 2019 Barolo Villero is lean and razor sharp with a fine succession of aromas that go from wild berry, to crushed stone and blue flower. The Einaudi team hits it out of the ballpark with this beautifully fine and finessed expression of Nebbiolo. I would bet on long aging potential for this wine, with a small 3,500-bottle release.

The 2019 Barolo Villero is a wine of substance and power. Its breath and overall textural resonance make a strong first impression. Black cherry, menthol, licorice, spice, lavender and dried herbs all build effortlessly. This potent, classically built Barolo from Einaudi is going to require a measure of patience.
