The Parusso 2018 Barolo Mariondino is a bigger and more concentrated wine compared to the Perarmando. With fruit from Castiglione Falletto, it also has what tastes like riper, darker and more fleshed-out fruit flavors. This wine delivers lots of power (with 15% alcohol), stems, structure and large-scale tannins, as expected. It's a lot to take in. 6,300 bottles were produced.

Parusso's 2018 Barolo Mariondino is a gorgeous, effusive wine. Bright floral accents, kirsch, orange peel, new oak, spice and mint give the 2018 its sculpted, chiseled personality. There is terrific cut and energy here. This is an especially fine showing from the Mariondino.
Always a Barolo that goes its own way, from owner Marco Parusso. Cherry red, with earthy and warming cardaman spice and tobacco notes. Medium-bodied, with fruit majoring on raspberries and morello cherries heading towards kirsch. A twist of charred salted caramel on the finish continues the gourmet feel. The vines here are set at 290m in altitiude on west-facing clay and sand soils, covering just 2ha with only a small amount of production going through the Place de Bordeaux (for the first time in 2022 with this vintage).
