From his 1 ha of Pinot in Chassagne. The domaine has a total of 3 ha in three different appellations. Warm, ripe, rather relaxed fruit without massive concentration. Just a little messy and awkward on the finish. (JR)
The 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet Goujonne Rouge had not been racked from barrel. Nevertheless, the red plum and strawberry fruit came through nicely on the nose, the fresh palate offering fine tannins and a lightly spiced finish. A decent red Chassagne, no more, no less.
