Note di degustazione
Notes of orange oil, fresh pastry, pear and warm bread preface the 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Abbaye de Morgeot (Domaine Louis Jadot), a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping wine that's lively and charming, with a generous core of fruit girdled by lively acids.

The 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet Abbaye de Morgeot 1er Cru has a lovely bouquet of orange blossom, freshly sliced pear and light nectarine aromas, plus a hint of praline in the background. The palate is well balanced with a honeyed opening, quite rich in style, and yet there is wonderful tension. Appealing tropical notes of passion fruit and guava on the finish. This will be irresistible once bottled.
Cask sample. Just a little fragile on the nose. A bit brutal in terms of astringency. Not a charmer but there is certainly enough acidity and tannin. Hard work at the moment. (JR)

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
