Note di degustazione
This is a very serious “entry-level” wine, which is unsurprising given it comes courtesy of Ch. Latour. It’s expressive with purple fruit and cassis notes that leap from the glass, while the palate offers such energy – combining the intense fruit concentration with a zip of acidity.

The 2022 Pauillac de Latour has quite an intense pencil box note on the nose, with plenty of expressive black fruit and just a faint tea leaf scent developing in the glass. Quite restrained. The palate is medium-bodied, with a dash of white pepper on the entry. Quite lively and animated, classical in style, with tobacco notes towards the Saint-Julien-like finish. Difficult to believe this is a Troisième Vin! Tasted blind at the Southwold tasting in London.
The 2022 Le Pauillac de Château Latour is dense and concentrated, offering up aromas of dark berries, cherries, violets and oak vanillin, followed by a medium to full-bodied, dense but lively palate. This is a comparatively structured rendition of Latour's third wine, and I suspect it will still benefit from a bit of patience when it's released in a few years' time.
