The 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet La Maltroie 1er Cru displays a hint of peppermint on the nose that slightly obscures the terroir expression, though is attractive in its own way. The palate is harmonious and nicely poised, quite concentrated with touches of dried honey and quince mixed with stem ginger on the finish. Fine.
