Note di degustazione
The gem of the lineup is the 2010 Darmagi which is the most pure, seamless, and elegant of the vintages reviewed in this report, all while not losing a beat with regards to depth and concentration. Blackcurrants, tobacco leaf, chocolate, and a touch of rocky minerality all flow to a medium to full-bodied, elegant, yet concentrated beauty that does everything right. With good acidity, fine, polished tannin, perfect balance, and a great finish, this spectacular Cabernet Sauvignon will benefit from another 2-3 years of bottle age and will keep for 15+ years.

Gaja's Darmagi is gorgeous in this vintage. This is a surprisingly juicy, extroverted Darmagi. Today it is the purity and sweetness of the fruit that stands out. Vibrant and totally alive in the glass the 2010 impresses for its sheer drinkability. Hints of cassis, blue fruit, grilled herbs and menthol are some of the many notes that wrap around the finish. This is a gorgeous Darmagi. The 2010 is 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc.
Ruby-red. Aromas of blackcurrant, spices, licorice, minerals and wild herbs, plus a hint of chocolate truffle. Sappy and highly concentrated, with terrific energy and a liqueur-like nuance to the flavors of black fruits, wild herbs and green pepper. Gripping, complex, sharply delineated cabernet with harmonious acidity and a very long, resounding finish featuring fine-grained tannins. An outstanding vintage for this bottling, and likely to be long-lived.
