The Serradenari 2010 Barolo is a mid-weight effort with a contemporary or internationally tailored bouquet. It offers dark fruit with generous spice, tobacco and cinnamon. Those oak-driven notes are at the forefront of the bouquet. The wine's mouthfeel is compact and tight.

La Morra. Very pale ruby with orange tinges. Not that expressive and a little earthy on the nose. Almost a lightweight palate of sweet fruit with a hint of leather, but the length is lingering and long and the tannins, although fierce, not overpowering. (WS)
