The 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Macherelles 1er Cru has a generous bouquet with orange cordial and light floral scents, nicely defined though needs a little more mineralité . The palate is well balanced with a soft opening. Clean and crisp, slightly tropical tones here, though it needs more nervosité and tension on the finish. It should nevertheless offer several years of drinking pleasure.
