Note di degustazione
The 2020 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru has a glorious nose, which is understated initially, and then it blossoms with yellow plum and crushed stone. Basalt touches come through with aeration, though it retains immense control. The oak is beautifully integrated. The palate has wonderful balance and verve, and the acidity is well-judged with a sapidity that gets the saliva flowing. This comes highly recommended with superb mineralité and energy, especially towards the vivacious and lingering finish. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

Aromas of pear, citrus oil, white flowers and buttery pastry introduce the 2020 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru, a medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy wine that's powerful and open-knit, with a riper profile than the Chevalier-Montrachet.
The 2020 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru has a detailed and quite mineral-driven bouquet, showing a little more personality compared to the Corton-Charlemagne. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, fresh and rounded in texture with white peach, almond and traces of crème brûlée towards the ample finish. Excellent. Four barrels produced.
