Note di degustazione
Very pretty strawberry and cherry aromas with flowers and crushed stones, following through to a full body with intense but very fine tannins, showing freshness and energy. Chewy yet very polished. Nice bitterness at the end with some tar highlights. Very attractive now, but better in 2023.

With fruit from Serralunga d'Alba and its denser calcareous clay soils, the Enzo Boglietti 2017 Barolo Arione stands out sharply in this group of wines all made with softer fruit La Morra. This wine sports a dark ruby or garnet hue to its appearance, although the wine's concentration remains noticeable glossy and translucent nonetheless. The wine's structure and tannins are apparent, and the bouquet shows dark fruit, Amarena cherries, spice and cedar. The mineral notes are sanguine and rusty. Production is 3,000 bottles.
Light bricky red. Seductively sweet aroma of Victoria (orange-skinned) plum. Gently herbal. Elegantly fine tannins, chalky dry but not as challenging as the Anselma wines. Juicy within the tannic framework. (JH)
