The 2018 Barolo Brunate shows ripe and soft fruit with mature cherry, blackberry, wild raspberry and dried sage. This is a fine and delicate wine that creeps up on you in terms of intensity, structure and power. Give it a few moments in the glass, and this wine goes from being tame to opulent in just a few steps.

La Morra. Palish ruby. Youthful and tight on the nose with a hint of pine. Lively cherry and red fruit on the palate with plenty of acidity and powdery tannins that are right now a tiny bit dry, but this will improve with age. (WS)
