2016 Barolo Monvigliero e Pisapola

Full bottle 1,211 g. Very pale, almost garnet. Confit-tomato and sour-cherry aromas. Tangy redcurrants and earthy goji berries and the sharp sweetness of concentrated tomato, almost homemade-ketchup-like (in a good way). Super-sylph-like tannins. They slip over the fruit like a silky shift. Well-modulated, unshowy elegance. Could do with a tiny bit more length. (TC)
