Note di degustazione
The 2020 Bienvenue-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru is the only one of three tasted that shows some reduction on the nose, lanolin and candle wax scents occluding the fruit. The palate is viscous on the entry. This is a "sunny" and slightly honeyed wine that does not have the tension of precision of its peers. It tapers in towards the finish when you are expecting that peacock's tail. I am unsure how representative this bottle is, and it becomes slightly oxidative on the finish. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

The 2020 Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru is more expressive and terroir-driven on the nose compared to the Bâtard-Montrachet. The palate is well-balanced with fine poise, taut and fresh, quite spicy towards the finish with admirable length. I can see this ageing well in bottle. Very fine.
