2017 Batard Montrachet

(picked on September 4, the first day of the harvest): Bright yellow. Pure, fruit-driven aromas of yellow peach, apricot and pineapple complemented by a note of almond flower. Concentrated, sweet, somewhat burly Bâtard with noteworthy density to its pineapple, pear and peach flavors; not yet showing much minerality, though. Finishes powerful and persistent but a bit dry and warm. (chaptalized from 13.2% to 13.7%)
