Note di degustazione
The 2019 Meursault Charmes 1er Cru has the leanest aromatics among the series of wines from this climat, some reduction deftly applied and allowing the terroir to shine through. Great tension on the waxy, linseed-tinged nose is maintained over 30 minutes. The palate is well-balanced with finely tuned acidity. There's the tiniest of reductions, yet it exudes tension and mineralité toward the finish that fans out gloriously. What an outstanding Meursault from Jobard. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

Notes of white flowers, pear, orange zest, toasted almonds and freshly baked bread introduce Jobard's 2019 Meursault 1er Cru Charmes, a medium to full-bodied, ample and layered wine that's concentrated and unusually giving out of the gates, with an open, enveloping core of fruit that's underpinned by tangy acids.
The 2019 Meursault Charmes 1er Cru is well defined and crisp on the nose of yellow plum mixed with honeysuckle and hazelnut, more Meursault character coming though compared to the Poruzots at the moment. The palate is fresh and focused, very expressive, with some gorgeous orange pith and peach skin notes coming through on the finish, flanked by hazelnut and grilled walnut. Excellent.
