Note di degustazione
Chavy’s 2017 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières 1er Cru is laced with orchard fruit, lemon confit, white flowers and a kiss of new French oak. Racy and inviting, the 2017 is easy to drink young, but also has enough energy to develop nicely in bottle for at least a few years to come. Bright saline and mineral notes give the Folatières lovely vibrancy and delineation throughout. The 2017 is especially fine with a few hours of air.

Seems more closed than their village Puligny on the nose, but the palate is loaded with powerful green-apple fruit and delicious burnt-sugar character on the long finish. There’s great length too – this is just a trailer for the main feature, coming soon... (RH)
The 2017 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières 1er Cru has a slight reduction on the nose that denies it the delineation of its village cru counterpart at the moment. The well-balanced palate is bright and vivid (as I suspect the aromatics will be after 18-24 months in bottle) and displays a crisp line of acidity. There is impressive tension on the finish. Very fine.
