Harvested on August 26, Colin's 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Caillerets bursts from the glass with aromas of peach, pear, yellow apples, freshly baked bread and nutmeg. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and youthfully introverted, with fine tension and back-end grip. This is very promising.

B ottled. Fatter than many a Cailleret, and than the other Joseph Colin wines I have tasted. Not sure it suits it. I’d go for the St-Aubins from this address. (JR)
The 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Caillerets 1er Cru has a backward, slightly reduced bouquet that does not quite slip out of second gear. Perversely, the Chassagne Village seems more "fun" at the moment. The palate is again, very reduced with a nagging green note that mars the finish. I wonder if Colin picked this at the right time and not prematurely?
