2017 Puligny Montrachet Les Pucelles

The 2017 Puligny-Montrachet Les Pucelles 1er Cru has a clean, precise bouquet that is just missing a little energy at the moment - much like the Les Clavoillons. The palate is well balanced with a tad more weight than the Clavoillons, quite rounded in texture, the oak well integrated with a nuanced, slightly honeyed finish that lingers in the mouth. This has good potential - it will just need two or three years for the aromatics to open up.
