2017 Puligny Montrachet Les Levrons

Bright, pale yellow. Aromas of ripe peach and pear, nutmeg, cinnamon and flowers show attractive perfumed lift and an element of menthol coolness. Juicy, savory Puligny with good floral lift to its yellow fruit, lemon, lime and wild herb flavors; there's an aromatic botanical herb quality here that reminded me of Adi Badenhorst's vermouth-like Caperitif from South Africa's Swartland region. Firm-edged today, even a bit aggressive, but finishes with good length.
