La Morra. Savoury undergrowth and a little stalky on the nose. Quite sweet and intense on the palate and a full sweet fruit finish. But little evidence of tension or complexity. (WS)

Good full, deep red. Very ripe aromas of plum, exotic fruits and chocolate truffle. Lush and fairly deep but with an exotic dried fruit character dominating the palate. Huge, dusty tannins cut off the wine's fruit on the back end. When to drink a wine like this?
