Note di degustazione
Marco Marengo's 2013 Barolo sees fruit sourced from four vineyards located in the La Morra township. These are Serradenari, Fossati, Boiolo and Roncaglie. Fruit is harvested, fermented separately and assembled later in order to preserve the subtle characteristics of each site. This vintage stands apart for the bright exuberance of the fruit and the noble qualities of the tannins. That characteristic firm silkiness that you get with fruit from La Morra is put proudly front and center.

The 2013 Barolo is powerful, dense and sweet, with plenty of succulent red fruit, herb, spice and floral notes. I would prefer to drink it over the next few years, before the slightly vegetal notes that lurk beneath become more apparent than they are today. The 2013 offers only modest depth and complexity in its peer group.
