Note di degustazione
(from a crop of 25 hectoliters per hectare): Bright medium yellow. Withdrawn, reduced nose hints at pear and menthol. Then even more tightly wound on the palate than the 1er Cru, with juicy lemon and crushed-stone flavors sharpened by penetrating acidity. Finishes with excellent lemony cut and length and a complicating saline nuance. (13.45% alcohol, with a brisk 4.8 grams per liter of acidity)

Aromas of menthol and crushed rock lifted by a lavender topnote. At once pliant and juicy, energized in the middle palate by pungent limey citricity. Finishes with a touch of youthful bitterness and subtle rising length. Cournut made less than 60% of a normal crop here in 2016--about 26.5 hectoliters per hectare.
