Note di degustazione
The estate's 2010 Barolo Villero comes across as a bit light on this vintage. Sweet tobacco, crushed flowers, mint, anise and dried herbs lift from the glass in a Barolo with limited depth and complexity.

From one of the best performing crus in the greater Barolo area, the 2010 Barolo Villero is beautifully balanced and tonic with a zesty, fresh quality of fruit that bodes well for the wine’s overall longevity. This is a cooler vineyard designate. Delicate layers of crushed rose, spice, licorice and tobacco peel off in steady succession. Villero shows a firm tannic grip in the mouth that adds momentum to its staying power and personality. Drink: 2017-2027. The Boroli wine philosophy pays special attention to aesthetics. This is evident in the innovative architecture used for the winery: A modern structure is covered with intricate woodwork made entirely from overlapping barrel staves. It occupies a panoramic perch overlooking much of the Langhe with the snow-covered Alps in the distance. With this crop of new releases, Boroli boasts a pretty new label design featuring modern artwork in somber tones of grey and black. Importer: Dalla Terra Winery Direct, www.dallaterra.com
