The 2015 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru is reduced on the nose, but there is a lot of fruit concentration here, and it feels very pure and well defined. The well-defined palate is fresh and taut with very good depth, and full of tension from start to finish. It is backward, almost surly at the moment, but give this four or five years in bottle and you will have a top-notch Bâtard-Montrachet. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

The 2015 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru has a far superior bouquet to the Bienvenue with more granitic, cold stone aromas, more terroir expression coming through. The palate is very well balanced with fine acidity, with a lovely salinity lending complexity and sappiness on the finish. This is a fine Bâtard-Montrachet, if not the best on the block in 2015.

Situato a sud di Nuits-Saint-Georges, a Prémeaux-Prissey, il Domaine de la Vougeraie è stato creato nel 1999, raggruppando sotto un unico nome tutti i possedimenti di Jean-Claude Boisset. La proprietà conta un totale di 40 ettari di vigneti, con ampie tenute a Vougeot e parcelle in sei Grands Crus.
