Punteggio 94/100 · Da bere 2019-2028, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Sep 2017

Bright yellow. High-pitched aromas of lemon, apple, spices, crushed stone and white flowers. Utterly seamless, silky wine with compelling elegance to its flavors of white peach and white flowers. This Chevalier boasts a creaminess that will give it early appeal, but its penetrating chalky finish also gives it grip and lift for a graceful evolution in bottle. A perfect example of a 2015 that gained in energy and definition during its final months of élevage . Really spreads out on the back to saturate the palate, with the apple and mineral notes carrying through. The acidity here is just 3.8 grams per liter but the pH is a healthy 3.17, according to Boudot.

Punteggio 93-95/100 · Da bere 2019-2037, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2016

The 2015 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru has a powerful, almost show-stopping bouquet with intense yellow plum, Mirabelle and grey slate-like aromas that are beautifully defined. The palate is very well balanced, harnessing the richness of the growing season by keeping a tight rein thanks to the terroir. Great depth here, superb acidity and the finish is very complex, with hints of almond and grilled walnut on the persistent finish. This is an impressive Chevalier-Montrachet that represents a very worthy follow-up to the 2014.

Pale, bright yellow. Superripe yellow fruits, lichee and sexy clove on the nose. Fat, saline and sweet; quite concentrated but a bit heavy for young Chevalier, and not showing the normal floral character and ineffable high notes of the cru. Tightens up on the finish, showing a distinctly salty quality. This will need several years of cellaring to come together.
