Punteggio 85/100 · Da bere 2018-2024, Neal Martin, Nov 2018

The 2015 Meursault Les Charmes 1er Cru has a slightly deeper color than its peers. The smudged bouquet lacks much in the way of precision and suffers from heavy-handed use of oak. The palate is simple, with smudged, lightly honeyed fruit and moderate depth on a finish that lacks precision and terroir expression. This does not match its showing out of cask. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

Bright light yellow. Lively nose combines lemon zest, crushed stone, menthol, truffley underbrush and musky minerality. Not hugely ripe but has the energy and lemony lift that some of these 2015s lack. Very juicy Meursault with excellent inner-mouth tension and a light touch. Finishes firm but not phenolic.

Punteggio 89-91/100 · Da bere 2018-2025, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Apr 2017

The 2015 Meursault 1er Cru Les Charmes has one of the best aromatics from Remoissenet's whites this year, more tension and mineralité showing through than even the Meursault-Blagny, located higher up the contour lines. The palate has a twist of sour lemon on the entry, a keen line of acidity and a brisk, orange rind finish. Drink over 4-7 years.
