Punteggio 92/100 · Da bere 2020-2029, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Sep 2017

Bright yellow. Pineapple, minerals and crushed stone on the vibrant nose. Creamy and dense, conveying terrific rocky inner-mouth lift and penetration but no rough edges. Very firm for a 2015 but also wonderfully silky. Finishes very long, with crushed rock and menthol notes.

The 2015 Meursault 1er Cru les Perrieres has a comely bouquet with apricot blossom, freshly sliced pear and subtle mineral tones that become more accentuated with aeration. The palate is crisp and focused on the entry. This feels harmonious and beautifully poised: fresh peach, a touch of lime and orange sorbet towards the finish that fans out with confidence. I would have liked a little more stony character here, but it feels very assured and just damn delicious.

25% new oak. Real tension here on the nose, plus great depth. Lots of lemon and raciness. Seems a step up from the Ch de Puligny whites. Nervy. Just falls away a little on the end after a very attractive start. (JR)

Pale, bright yellow. Lime, soft citrus fruits, spices and minerals on the nose and palate. Deep, broad, fat and adamantly dry, with a complicating note of menthol. Best today on the sappy, building finish.
