Punteggio 90/100 · Da bere 2018-2024, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Sep 2017

Pale, bright yellow. Very ripe aromas of peach, pear, menthol and wet stone, plus a note of spicy oak. Nicely concentrated and supple, with harmonious acidity framing the yellow fruit and spice flavors. In the ripe, mouthfilling style of the vintage, this premier cru has loosened up a bit since I tried it from barrel in early June of 2016 and should provide relatively early accessibility.

The 2015 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Boudriotte has a subtle bouquet with touches of orange rind and fine pine, yellow plum developing with time in the glass. The palate is well balanced with a waxy texture, nicely weighted in the mouth with a lightly spice finish that just needs a little more nervosité to come through. Not quite the spellbinding wine like the 2014, however, it will offer plenty of drinking pleasure.

Pale yellow. Precise, cool aromas of mirabelle , menthol and stone. Densely packed but weightless owing to a minerally lightness. Still youthfully tight in the middle palate but the long, slowly mounting finish leaves the mouth coated with citrus fruits and mineral salts. This classic, slightly austere Chassagne premier cru will need time in the cellar.

A ripe but fresh and cool nose displays the pure essence of pear, apple, and lavender. There is excellent concentration to the focused and powerful medium weight flavors that coat the palate with sap on the firm and textured finish that coats the palate with extract. Once again, this is not an elegant wine but it is well-balanced and built-to-reward mid-term cellaring.
