Note di degustazione
The 2015 Puligny-Montrachet Les Referts 1er Cru has a crisp, precise bouquet of Granny Smith apple, flint and smoky aromas that gain intensity in the glass. The palate has a sharp bitter edge on the entry, and just when you want it to take off, it seems to lose interest and levels off. I just wish this had more energy and edginess. Not bad, quite enjoyable, but it might have been better. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

Tasted blind, the 2015 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Referts is an unusually lithe, acid-driven wine for the vintage, wafting from the glass with a bright bouquet of white flowers, crisp green apple and subtle iodine. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, supple and tangy, with lots of cut and juicy energy, albeit comparatively little flesh on its structural bones.
Tank sample. 0.22 ha. Racy and polished. With lots of grainy tension and life. Long and great balance between the fruit and acidity. Really long and fine. (JR)
