Punteggio 90-92/100 · Da bere 2019-2029, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Apr 2017

The 2015 Meursault 1er Cru Charmes has a pleasing richness and generosity on the nose: citrus fruit, a touch of dried pineapple and later with aeration, attractive almost resinous/candlewax aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp acidity, a little grainy and certainly quite saline in style. There is a cheeky dab of lemon sherbet on the finish to complete what is a very fine Meursault Charmes, one that actually surpasses the 2014.

Punteggio 17/20 · Da bere 2020-2030, Jancis Robinson MW, Nov 2016

Cask sample. In the upper middle of Lafon’s parcel, under Perrières. Quite high. Twenty years ago it was made by Lafon. 55- to 60-year-old vines. A bit more linear and structured than Lafon’s Charmes. Lots of Genevrières-like herby underbrush. Lots of sinew. Almost more Colin-Morey than Charmes! (JR)

Bright lemon-yellow color. Pungent aromas of lemon and lime are complicated by a subtle leesy quality. A distinct step up in energy from the Narvaux, with its penetrating lemon and lime flavors complemented by saline minerality and a minty nuance. No shortage of acidity here. Finishes with excellent echoing length. Colin says these vines are situated "in the middle of Lafon's Charmes du Haut."
