Punteggio 88-90/100 · Da bere 2019-2025, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Apr 2017

The 2015 Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Chenevottes has a touch more richness on the nose compared to the Maltroie, hints of clear honey, candy floss and almond. The palate is fresh and vibrant with crisp acidity, the oak showing through a little more than other cuvées, but with satsifying weight and length on the walnut-tinged finish. I was just seeking a little more detail here, but it should drink well for several years.

Cask sample. Very calcareous and pebbly. Bottom of the hill. On the Puligny side. Light soils. Strong pale greenish yellow. Not that much on the nose for now. Lots of crunchy, textured fruit – a wine that already delivers. Great finesse. Masses of acidity. A thoroughbred with finesse and persistence. Some green streaks. (JR)

(12.9% alcohol; the north side of Chassagne was riper than the south side in 2015, noted Colin): Bright lemon-yellow color. Nose dominated by nectar of yellow peach. A step up in texture and ripeness from the Abbaye de Morgeot, displaying more body and flesh and a higher-alcohol impression without coming across as flabby. Lovely sweetness to the stone fruit flavors. Long on the aftertaste.
