2015 Chassagne Montrachet Les Caillerets

The 2015 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Cailleret has an attractive patisserie-tinged bouquet, the new oak present but not dominating the fruit profile as it offers grapefruit and lime cordial with time. The palate is fresh and taut on the entry with citrus fruit, red apple and a touch of blackberry leaf. I appreciate the weight here and the presence, and though it does not quite possess the persistence of the 2014, it is clean and harmonious.
