Note di degustazione
The 2015 Pommard 1er Cru les Pezerolles has quite a dense, rich bouquet with cassis-tinged red berry fruit, actually more like a Volnay in style. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, quite dense in the mouth again, saline and lightly spiced towards the finish that has good fleshiness and length. This is very fine.

(50% vendange entier ; one-third new oak): Bright red with ruby tones. Slightly cooler on the nose than the Volnays, offering scents of black cherry and menthol; not quite the same impression of skin ripeness here. (This wine was also made in a more reductive style and got a few extra pumpovers.) Densely packed and youthfully imploded, even a bit angular, offering reticent flavors of black cherry, spices and mint. A tougher, tighter, more saline style, dominated in the early going by its structure. This is usually a prettier, more delicate Pommard but not this year.
