Note di degustazione
The 2015 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières 1er Cru has a powerful bouquet, albeit one driven more by the oak regimen than by fruit concentration, rendering it a little generic in style. The palate shows a little viscosity on the entry, though more overripeness than signs of botrytis. The acidity is nicely judged, but this just lacks a little nervosité and tension on the candied finish. That said, it is very well proportioned and packed to the rafters with flavor. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

Tasted blind, the 2015 Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières was also showing very well, offering up notes of ripe lemon, mandarin and spring flowers, subtly framed by new oak. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, concentrated and deep, with good length and chewy extract, balanced by good acids. Pure and elegant, it's a classy Folatières that should drink well for a decade or more.
