The 2014 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Champs-Gains 1er Cru has superb delineation and poise on the nose. There's a very clever reduction at play, lending tension. The palate exhibits impressive depth with citrus fruit, yellow plum and sour lemon with a hint of lemongrass towards the finish. Lovely balance and length, this is a fine Chassagne-Montrachet from Morey. Perfect to drink now. Tasted blind at The Arches lunch in memory of Harry.
