Deep red with ruby tones. The aromas of crushed black cherry, red berries and flint reminded me of a Côte de Nuits wine. Densely packed, concentrated and spicy; a rocky, distinctly minerally style with an angular quality to its acidity and tannins that will need time to soften. This wine always requires two more years to mature than the Boudriottes, notes Jean-Pierre Cournut. In a distinctly saline style, finishing fresh and long, with the dusty tannins avoiding hardness. Very promising wine. (ST)

(13.5% alcohol): Pale, bright yellow. Very pure, subtly perfumed aromas of lime, white flowers, white pepper, minerals and crushed stone. Densely packed yet weightless; fruitier and less saline than the Morgeot Vigne Blanche but given superb delineation by piercing lemony acidity. Less expressive in the early going than the Morgeot but this should ultimately make an even suaver drink. Finishes with superb length and lift.

A subtle application of wood sets off the pretty and airy combination of essence of pear, citrus peel, menthol and soft spice nuances. There is excellent energy and richness to the delicious medium-bodied flavors that coat the palate with dry extract, all wrapped in an impressively persistent yet almost delicate finale. This is a wine of grace and harmony with just enough minerality to comment on. Worth checking out. *Outstanding*

Pale yellow-green. Lemon, lime, menthol and clove on the nose, plus a suggestion of bitter almond. Dense and extract-rich, with intense citrus flavors intensified by saline, rocky minerality. Not especially fat but seriously structured for a long life in bottle, with the wine's powerful calcaire minerality shutting down the fruit today.
