Punteggio 93/100 · Da bere 2019-2038, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Apr 2016

The 2014 Volnay 1er Cru Caillerets still has that compelling, stony, minerally, limestone scented bouquet that is beautifully defined and transparent. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, crisp acidity, nicely structured and a little more saline than its fellow premier crus. I appreciate the weight here, the tension throughout, the length on the finish. Though it just errs on the austere side, it is a sophisticated Volnay that should age well over the next 20 years.

Punteggio 90-92/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Jan 2016

Medium red. Very ripe, explosively perfumed aromas of red fruits and faded rose. Then juicy and tightly wound, less sweet than the Frémiet but intensely flavored. Duvivier says this wine is open today but I find it reserved, even a bit youthfully imploded. Best now on the floral, rising, firmly tannic finish. Quite stylish but not easygoing.
