Bright, pale yellow. Peach, spices and a whiff of fresh mushroom on the nose. Dense, sappy and fine-grained, offering lovely inner-mouth tension to its stone fruit, spice and mineral flavors. Intense, soil-driven wine with a very subtle, slowly building finish. An excellent village bottling.

Nearly 5 ha now. Eight different lieux-dits. Derrière La Velle, Les Levrons, Les Reuchaux, Corvée des Vignes, La Rousselle, Noyer Bret, Les Aubues, Les Tremblots. Deep gold. Lots here. Style Carillon – very driven and energetic, perhaps not with the distinction of some of the individual plots but very satisfying . (JR)
Pale bright yellow. Highly aromatic nose combines peach, ginger and quinine. Rich, sweet and nicely concentrated, with a ripe peach flavor complicated by saline minerality and a toasty note from the 10% new oak. Carillon owns five hectares of village vines in Puligny-Montrachet; he blended this wine at the beginning and has 120 barrels of this juice. A lovely village wine in the making.
