Note di degustazione
Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting, Marc Colin's 2014 Saint Aubin 1er Cru en Montceau (bottled under Diam 10 closure) has a wonderful bouquet with fresh dewy green apple, wet limestone and flint aromas, all very focused and well defined. The palate is bright and vivid on the entry: a silver bead of acidity, fresh and focused with subtle white peach and blackcurrant leaf notes on the finish.

A cool nose reflects notes of green apple, citrus peel, white flower and pear nuances. There is excellent delineation and vibrancy to the refined and understated middle weight flavors that are almost aggressively mineral-driven, all wrapped in a moderately austere and serious finish. This is really quite good though it doesn't quite have the same underlying material as the best of these St. Aubin 1ers. Jun 2016, www.burghound.com, Drink: 2019+
