Punteggio 96/100 · FINE+RARE

Focused nose of honeyed lemon, custard and blossom. The palate is simply stunning with plump, mouth-filling texture seamlessly fused to layers of yellow apples, citrus oils, honeycomb, brioche and salted caramel. A thread of ripe acidity is present in this wine from start to finish, balancing the core of inner richness. The finish lasted 45 seconds. Drinking beautifully  now and for the next 10 years. Punteggio 91/100 · Da bere 2021-2030, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Jun 2016

(Jadot buys juice from 40-year-old vines): Deep, ripe aromas of peach and hazelnut. Densely packed and generous, with its full ripeness and sweetness partly buffered by strong citricity and powerful minerality. A rather extreme style for the vintage but strong in dry extract. These vines were harvested late, noted Barnier.

The 2014 Bienvenue Bâtard Montrachet Grand Cru has a very precise, granitic, smoke-tinged bouquet that opens nicely in the glass, gaining more and more intensity. The palate is fresh and vibrant with crisp acidity, elegant and refined, gently building but never letting go fully. As such, it is a more feminine, understated grand cru from Jadot.
