The 2014 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Referts from Faiveley has a crisp, light, smoky bouquet with subtle apple-blossom and pear scents developing with aeration. The palate is crisp and well defined on the entry, the oak needing a few more months to fully integrate, with the texture quite rounded and appeasing to the taster with disarming creaminess towards the finish. Enjoy this over the next 10-15 years.

Deeply satisfying citrus and creamy texture. All very primary but full of flavour, the oak giving spice and coconut at the moment. Flavourful more than elegant. (JH)

(60% malo; Faiveley worked these vines and vinified the wine for the first time; the yield here was 50 hectoliters per hectare, making this the only vineyard near the limit in 2014): Light yellow with a green tinge. Deep, bright aromas of fresh peach, spices and flowers. Wonderfully sweet and generous but nicely balanced too, with harmonious acidity framing and carrying the flavors of fruit salad and hazelnut.
