Note di degustazione
Light bricky red. Sweet leather and dried fruits on the nose. Tangy, juicy red cherry and a touch of orange on the palate. Still full of life even though it has some mature leather on the finish. Perhaps slightly drying in the tannin texture, accentuated by the acidity. (JH)

Conti Costanti has a proven track record for quality and consistency. The 2011 Brunello di Montalcino opens to a beautiful ruby color and great aromatic integrity. The bouquet presents a quick succession of fresh fruit aromas, cherry cola, licorice, dried ginger and pine nut. All of those elements are delicate and expertly balanced against one another. In the mouth, this Brunello shows a clean and streamlined style with very good length.
The 2011 Brunello di Montalcino is one of the classiest wines of the vintage. Macerated cherry, cinnamon, orange peel and spice notes are all fused together in a succulent, impeccably alanced Brunello endowed with fabulous balance, knock-out aromatics and remarkable grace. Costanti's 2011 is a rare Brunello from this vintage that has enough structure to age for a number of years. Its class and pedigree are evident, even at this early stage. The 2011 spent a year in tonneau and two years in cask. There will be no 2011 Riserva.
Tasted blind. Concentrated ruby with orange tinges. Powerful and concentrated on the nose and with rich fruit on the palate. Long and intense but not overtly sweet, it strikes a good balance. Fuller style of Brunello, that totally convinces. (WS)
