Note di degustazione
The 2011 Beaune Les Perrières 1er Cru offers subtle minty scents on the nose, though that recedes with aeration to reveal black cherries, briary, sage and light stone aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, fresh and detailed with well-judged acidity and commendable tension and sense of energy towards the finish. This is an excellent Beaune Premier Cru from de Montille. Tasted at Flint Wines Burgundy 2011 tasting.

(bottled in March of 2013; the rest of the 2011 reds were bottled a month later): Good full, bright red. High-toned aromas of black cherry and licorice. Peppery red fruit flavors show saline and herbal notes and a lightly medicinal quality. A touch green but ultimately sweet on the back end, with fine-grained tannins. This fruit was completely destemmed.
(100% destemmed; 20% new oak): Bright medium red. Black fruits, spices and a note of crushed stone on the nose. Juicy and firmly built, with good intensity to the slightly medicinal black cherry and mineral flavors. Not a fleshy wine but has good verve.
