Punteggio 91/100 · Da bere 2022-2034, Neal Martin, Oct 2023

The 2013 Puligny-Montrachet Les Perrières 1er Cru is certainly richer on the nose than the Village Cru with grilled almonds, wet wool, apple blossom and light mulch aromas. The palate is well-balanced with more freshness and vitality. Pretty orange pith and mandarin notes segue into a malic, concentrated finish.

Punteggio 91/100 · Da bere 2022-2028, Neal Martin, Mar 2023

The 2013 Puligny-Montrachet Les Perrières 1er Cru shows some secondary notes on the nose and does not boast the same level of complexity as the 2016 alongside. Squeezed grapefruit and candle wax notes emerge with time. The palate is actually better than the nose, sappy with a touch of ginger and admirable persistence on the finish. Fine, though I doubt continued cellaring will repay dividends.

Tasted blind at the annual “Burgfest” tasting in Bouilland. The 2013 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Perrieres has an attractive bouquet, full of energy, with lemon sorbet and yellow flower scents. The palate is tense and focused, the acidity may be a little sharp at the moment, but such is the concentration and depth on the finish that I can see this turning into a superb premier cru that should overtake the 2013 Les Referts as the two wines mature. Tasted May 2016.

Pale yellow. Expressive aromas of orange zest, flowers and crushed stone. At once dense and juicy, showing terrific energy and cut to the flavors of soft citrus fruits and spices. Finishes long and minerally, with crushed-rock energy giving it lovely lift and a light touch. Carillon predicts that this wine will shut down in the next six months or so.
