Treiso. Mid ruby with orange tinges. Very earthy and balsamic and with a hint of horse saddle. The leathery note sits a little awkwardly with the fruit and dries out the finish. (WS)

Good medium red. Fresh, fruit-driven aromas of cherry, flowers and truffle; smells friendly. Then plush and sweet on the palate, with enticing ripe acidity framing the sweet red fruit flavors. Finishes with rather suave, fine-grained tannins. This will offer early appeal. But the 2010 is more firmly structured.
