Note di degustazione
Mid garnet, brick rim. Slightly herbal red fruit. A bit leathery, dry in texture, but with real integrity. No make-up. It does have a slight herbaceous note but not green. Firm, leathery on the palate too, even a little earthy. Genuine if not sophisticated, just a little bit rustic. (JH)

Novello. Mid ruby. Smudgy, lightly smoky, dried-cherry nose. Not that intense but very 'pleasant'. An easy-to-like Barolo with its charms sketched rather than emphatically painted. Dry finish. Very appetising with a hint of prunes. (JR)
Quite heady and seductive. Perfumed and substantial. A very nice package. (JR)
Good medium red. Subtle aromas of raspberry liqueur, mocha and burnished oak. Suave and sweet, with a seamless texture to the flavors of raspberry and truffle lifted by flowers. A shapely, refined midweight with lovely perfumed length. In a rather delicate style for Ravera. (Incidentally, I recently retasted the 2008 Ravera, which I rated 91+? in IWC 159, and it showed more aromatic complexity than the 2009 and a somewhat cooler character and lighter touch. This classy, perfumed bottle rated 93 points.)
