Punteggio 89/100 · Da bere 2013-2018, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Dec 2010

The 2006 Barolo Lecinquevigne is made from vineyards in Castellerto, Monvigliero, Cavourrina, Ravera and Fossati. It is a relatively soft, forward Barolo with good juiciness in its fruit. Floral, spiced notes are woven throughout. This shows beautiful persistence on the palate and a long, refined finish.

Punteggio 89/100 · Da bere 2011-2018, Antonio Galloni, Wine Advocate, Dec 2010

The 2006 Barolo Lecinquevigne is made from vineyards in Castellero, Monvigliero, Cavourrina, Ravera and Fossati. It is a relatively soft, forward Barolo with good juiciness in its fruit. Floral, spiced notes are woven throughout. This shows beautiful persistence on the palate and a long, refined finish. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2018. Cerequio. Brunate. Cannubi. These are the Italian equivalents of Musigny, Bonnes Mares and Chambertin; in other words, among the most precious vineyards anywhere in the world. Consulting oenologist Giuseppe Caviola is a virtual guarantee that the Damilano wines will always be well-made, but when will they become truly distinctive and worthy of their origins? That is the question that still needs to be answered. Importer: Vias Imports, New York, NY; tel. (212) 629-0200
