At first a touch medicinal but with air more opulent and quite minerally. Ripe, fragrant fruit, but much more juvenile on the palate with grainy tannin. Wonderful balance. Bitter note and touch medicinal again. Closes up on the finish. Needs decanting and preferably a bit more bottle age. (WS)
